The SUSTRA network is a network of European scientists, stakeholders and policy-makers financed by the European Union's 5th Framework Programme under the Key Action "Improving the socio-economic knowledge base". The society needs are changing: there is a rapidly increasing social demand for better environmental preservation, more equity and more consideration for human basic needs. see project OBJECTIVES The network will organise a series of five workshops on themes related to trade and sustainable development. It will also produce policy briefs and coordinate e-forums. It will be be open to a wide participation of researchers, stakeholders and policy-makers. see project ACTIVITIES The network is based on a multidisciplinary team of 11 partners coming from 6 European countries. It includes economists, political scientists, sociologists, philosophers and lawyers. see PARTNERS |
