Mobilise operators and capitalise practices
Montpellier SupAgro helps partner establishments and businesses, in particular in Mediterranean and tropical countries, diversify their training offers, develop new skills and set up quality control systems.
The SAFARI International Rural and Agricultural Education Support Office
The international skills and expertise enhancement office within the French agricultural education system set up by the DGER. Steering entrusted to Montpellier SupAgro in partnership with AgroSup Dijon and Ecole Nationale de Formation Agronomique (ENFA) de Toulouse-Auzeville.
Three major components:

Communicating and showcasing French expertise: National engineering study days for international education systems (“IDFI” days), participation in Ministry of Foreing Affairs reflections groups (training economics group), informing various groups and networks in France (IAA network, DRIF etc;) and bi- and multilateral organisations: MAE, GTZ, FAO, UNESCO, AIF, AUF, etc;

The interface between the specific requests of foreign partners, the expertise for these requests, identifying, raising the awareness of and connecting players in our education system able to respond to these requests most suitably.

The Agriculture and Rural Training Network (FAR)
Created in 2005 by a group of specialists from sub-Saharan Africa and Europe meeting in Ouagadougou for the “Formation de masse en milieu rural, élément de réflexion pour la définition d’une politique nationale” workshop.
Its aims:

bring together those involved in rural and agricultural training,
-
seek, exchange and disseminate information on this subject, and
-
produce new references.
The FAR network receives support from the French ministries in charge of agriculture (MAP) and foreign affairs (MAE) and the Agence Française de Développement (AFD); a digital platform (http://www.far.agropolis.fr/ website, newsletter, dossiers, discussion forums, thematic watches, videoconferences, meetings: workshops, seminars, symposiums, study days, training courses,work: studies, expertise, papers, theses. The French agricultural education system is active in the FAR Network.
For example, it:

acts as delegated contract manager and provides the executive secretariat (Montpellier SupAgro in partnership with AgroSup Dijon and Ecole Nationale de Formation Agronomique (ENFA) de Toulouse-Auzeville,

ensures the participation of geographic networks and the DRIF network in FAR’s activities, notably its meetings.
